The Ekogunea project, promoted by KUTXABANK in Gipuzkoa, for training Basque society in sustainable values, will have a wastewater treatment plant with the BIDATEK technology.
The choice of BIDATEK technology has been motivates, in addition to the requirement of a technology capable to achieve riverbed discharge levels, because it was sought to achieve responsibly with the environment, with low energy requirements and without any waste generation.
The BIDATEK wastewater treatment plant will become a part of educational tours that will be organized for school children and visitors on the park, and will serve to raise awareness about human activity impact on water resources and about the need to use new cleaner technologies (CleanTech) for wastewater treatment.
